Senators are elected by a peer vote to represent staff at large and serve a two-year term.

Lisa Downing (2018)

Lisa started with Pacific University in 2012 as the inaugural and only employee in the College of Health Professions Continuing Education Program, where she continues to work today. Lisa coordinates continuing education so that healthcare professionals can meet continuing education requirements to maintain their licenses. She is driven by innovations in teaching and applying best practices to interprofessional healthcare education. Lisa earned an associate of science degree in Accounting from Matanuska Susitna Community College and a bachelor’s degree in Business Management and Communication from Concordia University Portland. She is actively involved in many Pacific University committees and initiatives.

Brad Hodges (2019)

Brad came to Pacific University first in 2005 as a contractor installing heating and air conditioning systems in many of the newer buildings on the FG campus. Then in late 2015 he became a permanent part of Pacific, replacing our retiring H.V.A.C. specialist.  Brad strives to make improvements to comfort and energy efficiency in our buildings.  When he is not at Pacific working hard, he enjoys the outdoors and spending time with his wife and three boys as much as he can.

Andrea Lybarger (2019)

Andrea joined Pacific University in fall of 2011 as Assistant Director of Graduate and Professional Admissions where she supports student recruitment and applicants for the College of Optometry. Andrea is a graduate of Southern Oregon University, holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, and has previous work experience in online marketing and graduate admissions. Outside of the office, Andrea enjoys spending time with her family and two dogs, being outdoors, and cooking.

Joanne Leijon (2018)

Joanne has been in Financial Aid at Pacific since July 2012, first as Customer Service Specialist and now as a Financial Aid Counselor. She is also a member of the Oregon Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators, serving as Membership Chair and on the Annual Conference Committee. Joanne has a Bachelor's Degree in Journalism from the University of Oregon and has worked for an advertising agency, a food products company (the owner was on the Board of Trustees at Pacific!), a veterinary clinic and a supplier of crafting materials to art quilters around the world. Hanging out with her family is highest on Joanne's list of favorite activities, especially when they agree to go on a hike!

Peter Morgan (2018)

Peter started working at Pacific early in 2013 in UIS as a Programmer/Analyst in the Enterprise Data Systems team. Before joining the Pacific community, he worked in IT and Institutional Research at another institution, and worked as a trainer before that. He enjoys offering trainings and serving on the Staff Professional Development Committee. He is the current chair of UDOT (University Data Operations Team) committee and serves on the Staff Senate Governance Committee. In his spare time, he'll probably be dirty. He and his wife (and dog, cats, cows, and chickens) live on her parents' farm. He'll probably be in the garden, running a chainsaw, beating back the blackberries & poison oak, or fixing something in the old farm house.

Lauren Brownrigg (2017)

Lauren Brownrigg, Associate Athletic Director/Senior Woman Administrator, began work at Pacific University in August of 2012.  Previously, Lauren worked in the Athletic Departments at the University of Portland and the University of Oregon.  Lauren is a graduate of the University and of Kansas where she participated as a student-athlete for five years in cross country, indoor and outdoor track and field. She also holds a graduate degree from the University of Washington. When not at Pacific University or other Northwest Conference schools, cheering on the Boxer student-athletes, Lauren enjoys spending time with her two dogs, Loki and Odin.



Yemaly Alexander (2018)

Yemaly joined Pacific’s Interprofessional Diabetes Clinic (IDC) in 2013. As Patient Care Coordinator, she not only assists the patient by facilitating coordination of care, but also facilitates communication between the patient, healthcare providers, and community services by bridging language and cultural gaps, and addressing challenges specific to the patient’s needs. She is committed to provide patients with the tools for a healthier lifestyle and to improve Latino communities.

Katelyn Eisenhooth (2018)

Katelyn is the Assistant Director of International Programs. Her current position includes providing arrival assistance and orientation to all of Pacific’s international students and scholars as well as providing immigration advising and support services to them as well. She came to Pacific after serving as the senior international student advisor at Ohio University. In her spare time, she enjoys the outdoors in as many ways that she can (SUP, hiking, biking, running, etc.), performs music, and likes to try new recipes.

Julie Gaida (2019)

Julie started as the libraries’ Acquisitions Specialist in June 2015. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Criminology from the University of Texas at Dallas and her Master of Library and Information Science degree from the University of Washington. She enjoys helping others, and her current position includes buying items for the libraries’ collections and helping to maintain the library’s collection budget. She has served on the Staff Senate Governance Committee since January 2017. When she’s not working she’s probably knitting, reading, learning to sew, or giggling at her two pet rabbits’ many shenanigans.

Tami Grotte (2018)

Tami started at Pacific in September 2007 as the Accounts Payable Coordinator.  She enjoys working with and helping others whenever she can. She processes contractor payments, reimbursements and invoices and is also responsible for maintaining and completing unclaimed property reporting for the University. Before joining Pacific Tami was at Intel Corporation as the eInvoice Coordinator / A/P trainer. She was lucky enough to be able to travel to Costa Rica two times in relation to her job and her dream vacation would be to take her whole family there so they can have the same experiences that she did.  Tami was born and raised in Hillsboro.  In her spare time she likes to go to farmers' markets, gardening, camping and spending time with family.

Gage Josi (2018)

Gage is an Oregon native and grew up north of Portland, in Scappoose. He graduated from Pacific with a degree in Environmental Studies in 2013. While attending school, he worked closely with University Advancement, spending time as a Phonathon student caller and Annual Giving Intern. In his current role as Assistant Director of Annual Giving, he oversees the mailings and emails, works on faculty/staff giving and assists with larger fundraising events. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with family and his two dogs, riding his motorcycle and anything related to the outdoors.

Angela Moberg (2019)

Angela joined Pacific University in the fall of 2015 as the Director of Intramurals & Recreation. Within the Athletic Department, she also serves as a SAAC (Student-Athlete Advisory Committee) Advisor and oversees club sports. Prior to Pacific, Angela held various administration roles in health & fitness clubs, intercollegiate athletics and non-profit youth sports. She is a member of NIRSA, ACE certified and has a Bachelor’s in Human Performance: Sports & Fitness from Corban University and a Master’s in Sport Administration from the University of Northern Colorado. Outside of work, Angela enjoys trying every coffee shop, reading, playing volleyball (or any other sports possible), all the outdoor activities of the Northwest and cheering for the Seahawks.

Derek Naegeli (2018)

Derek started his journey at Pacific as an undergraduate student; he gave tours, participated in Student Senate, and studied Environmental Biology.  After he graduated in 2010, he started working in the admissions office in 2011 as an admissions counselor.  As the Assistant Director of Admissions, he continues his work with prospective students from across the United States. He is originally from a small town in Montana, but he loves living in Oregon. When he is not in the office he enjoys kayaking, running, and being outdoors with his family.

Megan Rice (2018)

Megan Rice is the Program and Conduct Coordinator in the department of Residence Life  She has been working for Pacific University since 2011. She earned her bachelor of science in Biology from Pacific Lutheran University. She also holds a master of College Student Personnel from Western Illinois University. She currently serves on the Staff Professional Development Committees. Previously, she has assisted with the annual Halloween Costume contest and the Staff Pancake Breakfast. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, reading, wine-tasting, sports, hiking and spending time with her husband.

Sara Tapia-Guillen (2019)

Sara stated at Pacific University Dental Hygiene Clinic in August 2008 as a part time dental Service coordinator and is now the Manager of Dental Patient Services.  She works closely with students and patients.  She is an advisor for Student hygiene Chapter for the Hispanic Dental Association. Spending time with family is a priority.  She enjoys spending time with her girls and her dog, she loves dancing with her husband and going on road trips with her family.

Ashly Tilden-Browning (2019)

Ashly is the Administrative Assistant for the Office of Student Academic Affairs and the Advising Center. She became a member of the Pacific community in March of 2011. Ashly is a graduate of Oregon State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Sciences. She is the current co-chair of the Professional Development Committee. In her free time, Ashly enjoys growing dahlias and spending time with her husband and two sons.

Colton Underhill (2019)

Colton joined Pacific in 2010 as an undergrad and graduated in 2014 with a degree in psychology. He grew up in Banks, Oregon and spent a lot of time on the Banks track team. As a student he worked for UIS’s helpdesk and was hired on fulltime after he graduated and has been with UIS since. He works closely with student, faculty, and staff helping with their various technology needs. In his free time he likes the occasional physical labor chores and enjoys reading manga, playing games, grilling food, and spending time with his wife.

Jayme Wong (2019)

Jayme started her journey at Pacific as an undergraduate in 2003, and graduated in 2006 with a degree in Business Administration and Concentration in Accounting, Finance and Marketing. After working for a bank then an Optometrist, she returned to Pacific in 2015 as a Student Account Coordinator in the Business Office. She loves to spend time with her family and friends, and tries to return to Hawaii, where she was born and raised, as much as possible.
