Pilot for TV Series to be Filmed at Pacific University

A spinoff of the popular TV series Pretty Little Liars will be filming on Pacific University’s Forest Grove Campus March 12-24. Production crews and equipment, as well as a private security firm, began arriving on Friday, March 8, to prepare for filming that will begin Monday, March 12 at various locations on campus. Much of filming that will occur over the next two weeks will take place after 5 p.m.

The show, called The Perfectionists, is seeking to hire a number of Pacific students to work as extras, although there are roles for all ages. To apply, visit abitextracasting.com. Media arts students also will be invited to shadow and interact with the crew. Several of the filmmakers, who are also instructors at the University of Southern California’s film school, plan to hold a lecture for students during preproduction.

The spinoff stars Pretty Little Liars alums Sasha Pieterse and Jan Parrish, who will reprise their roles as Alison DiLaurentis and Mona Vanderwaalas. The show is set in the fictional town of Beacon Heights, but will be shot at Pacific and near Lewis & Clark College in Portland.

Signage will be visible at locations unavailable for specified times because of filming or logistical requirements. Additionally, access to parking lots on campus, including faculty/staff Lot P, as well as street parking on College Way, will be restricted. Parking permit holders are encouraged to park in Lot M on the north side of campus and take a complimentary shuttle service provided by Conference and Event Support Services. The shuttle service will be available to transport faculty and staff from the Stoller Center to the University Center between 7:45 and 8:45 a.m. and from 5 to 5:45 p.m. March 12-15 and March 21-23. The university appreciates the cooperation and understanding of students, faculty and staff during this time.

For more information about filming-related issues on campus, contact Lois Hornberger, senior director of Conferences and Event Support Services.
