Pharmacy Faculty Member Hosts Workshop for Japanese Researchers

marina suzukiDr. Marina Suzuki, assistant professor within the Pacific University School of Pharmacy, organized a Global Pharmacy Workshop at Pacific Feb. 21-23 for researchers from Japanese institutions Hoshi University, Musashino University, and Meiji Pharmaceutical University.

The researchers met with Pacific students and faculty members, as well as hospital administrators from Tuality Healthcare, Legacy Health and Kaiser Permanente.

"Faculty and staff were very supportive to make our workshop successful," Suzuki said. "We had great discussions to foster future collaborations and partnerships, and our students had a chance to meet Japanese faculty. We are all very excited about our future programs.”

The workshop developed by Suzuki is part of “Emerging Issues on the Latest Developments in Science and Technology,”  a project commissioned and funded by the Japanese Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology and administered by the Mitsubishi Research Institute.

The institute selected Suzuki as a project contributor from an internationally competitive pool of academic researchers from across the U.S. and Europe.
