ESOL Teaching Programs

Pacific University is especially committed to ensuring that education is accessible, meaningful, and culturally appropriate for all learners. Several of our teacher preparation programs offer an opportunity to specialize in teaching English to speakers of other languages.

At the undergraduate level, add a TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) minor to your education and learning major to complete an endorsement in ESOL.

At the graduate level, our bachelor in education programs, offered in Eugene, Woodburn and in partnership with school districts around the state, includes an embedded ESOL endorsement for all participating students.

The master of arts in teaching in STEM, embedded in the Woodburn School District, prepares students to teach science, technology, engineering and math at the middle and high school levels and also includes an embedded ESOL endorsement.

For current licensed teachers, we also offer non-degree add-on programs for an ESOL endorsement or ESOL and reading dual endorsement.
