Mark Ankeny, PhD
Dr. Ankeny brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the vice president role. He has served as dean of Pacific’s College of Education since 2006.
Mark earned his bachelor’s degree in psychology at George Fox College, his master of science in education from Portland State University and his PhD in educational policy and management from the University of Oregon.
After working as a counselor and K-12 teacher for many years, he became a professor and later assistant dean at the School of Education at George Fox. He also served as dean of the School of Education at Westminster College in Salt Lake City.
Ingrid Unterseher has been at Pacific University for 25 years, beginning her work in the Enrollment Management area. After one year, she moved to Student Services and has been there ever since. She truly enjoys working with students and see them grow through their college experience. She is a native Oregonian, hailing from the Eugene area, but has lived in Washington and California as well.
In addition to her job-related activities, she has been active in music and theatre, both on and off campus. She accompanied Choral Union since its inception in 1995, was a member of the Vocal Jazz Ensemble for four years and accompanied numerous musical productions on campus, the last being Sweeney Todd. She is also active in local community theatre, her last performance being in Rent at Theatre in the Grove. She also is the pianist for services and choir at a local area church.
In her spare time she enjoys attending as many live theatre performances and music concerts as she can as well as going to movies, traveling, gardening, photography, knitting, crocheting and cross stitch.
Karen has been with Pacific University for 20 years in various positions. She began as Director of Graduate and Professional Programs Admissions in 1997, moved to the Director of Student Services for the College of Optometry in 2002, then took over as Executive Director of Admissions in 2005. Currently, she is the Assistant Vice President of Enrollment Undergraduate Admissions. Karen is a proud member of several college recruitment organizations, including PNACAC, NACAC, NAAHP, ASCO and serves on the Black United Fund committee.
Karen is originally from Pennsylvania where she worked for Temple University before coming to Pacific.
Jon-Erik Larsen has been with Pacific University for 20 plus years in various positions. He started at Pacific as the Degree Audit Counselor, moved to the Assistant Registrar, then took over as the Director of Graduate and Professional Admissions. Currently, he is the Assistant Vice President of Enrollment Management for Graduate and Professional Admissions. Beyond work Jon-Erik enjoys playing drums, yodeling, base jumping and swimming. His true loves are with his wife and two boys. Jon-Erik is originally from California where he was a former professional musician.
Will Perkins assumed the role of Associate Vice President of Enrollment Management and Student Affairs, as well as Dean of Students beginning in 2010. Six years into his role, he continues to provide leadership to our Student Life team.
Will earned his bachelor’s degree in psychology from Washington University in St. Louis, as well as a master of counseling from Arizona State University. He gained valuable Student Affairs experience while working for ASU.
Will carries six years of experience in Student Affairs in areas including graduate and professional services, residential life, student development, orientation, and campus life. He demonstrates a strong commitment to campus diversity and cultural issues. He’s an advocate for students; offering the necessary level of support, assistance and guidance wherever needed. He is constantly striving to enhance the student’s overall college experience.
