Peace & Social Justice

Minor

Investigate issues of social justice, inequality and violence among individuals, groups and nations of the world. Develop a closely reasoned philosophical position on peace and social justice that can have lifelong applications.

Peace and social justice minors take courses in many different disciplines and interact with faculty members from across campus. They participate in civic engagement opportunities, including projects with Pacific’s Center for Gender Equality, Center for Civic Engagement and Center for Peace and Spirituality. They also learn and apply conflict resolution skills and strategies through simulation exercises and travel for cultural immersion, field work, service learning and course work.
