Claire Argow Social Work Program

Pacific University’s Claire Argow Social Work program offers a Bachelor of Social Work and Master of Social Work accredited by the Counsel on Social Work Education (CSWE).

The BSW, 2-year MSW, and Advanced Standing MSW programs are offered at our Forest Grove Campus, just outside of Portland, Ore. Pacific’s social work program is known for its individualized instruction and face-to-face mentoring from professors. We have a low student to faculty ratio, and focus on building a cohort of students prepared to become leaders in practice, policy, and research.

Students in Pacific’s Social Work program will experience teaching and learning in a close, nurturing environment. Professors create exceptional opportunities for professional growth and work with students to foster interprofessional relationships at both the bachelor and master’s level. Our faculty come from a wide variety of professional and academic backgrounds with a range of expertise in areas such as; homeless and runaway youth, suicide, gerontology, LGBTQ youth, medical social work, psychotherapy, international social work, and indigenous communities.

Pacific's Social Work program is named for former Pacific University professor and prisoners rights advocate Claire Argow.
