Go Ask Alice

A comprehensive website by Columbia University's Health Promotion Program. This website has up-to-date, nonjudgmental and helpful information for college students on a wide range of topics, including sexuality and sexual health, alcohol and other drugs, relationships, health and fitness, and emotional health. 

Sexual Assault

RAINN (Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network)

The largest anti-sexual assault organization in the United States. They provide support for survivors of sexual assault, information about sexual assault to educate community members, and ways to get involved to end sexual violence. They have both a 24 hour crisis phone line (800-656-HOPE) and online hotline.

NSVRC (National Sexual Violence Resource Center)

A clearinghouse of information on the national and state levels. NSVRC focuses on ending all types of sexual violence through education, prevention, collaboration, and distribution of resources. They have a very large collection of information, articles, and resources on virtually all aspects of sexual violence.

SARC (Sexual Assault Resource Center)

A resource center in Washington County. They have a 24 hour crisis line (503-640-5311) and offer other information on their website.

Alcohol and Substance Abuse

NIAAA (National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism)

A clearinghouse of information related to alcohol abuse and alcoholism, including FAQ, research, and publications. They also have information on responsible drinking in college.

Rethinking Drinking

A webpage provided by NIAAA to give user-friendly information about alcohol, its effects, and how to reduce drinking.

This website has information for college students and their families about alcohol and other substance abuse. It includes information about how to help a friend, how to set limits, what to do if a family member has a substance abuse problem, drugs and sex, and many more related topics. It is very informative and helpful.

A free online tobacco cessation website. It provides customized support, information and guidance for its members who are quitting tobacco.

AA is an international organization with local meetings to help alcoholics become and stay sober. This is the national website for AA. It has additional information about alcoholism, alcohol abuse, information for family, and AA meetings nationally.

Narcotics Anonymous (NA)

NA is an international organization with local meetings to help addicts become and stay sober. This is the national website for NA. It has additional information and resources for drug abuse and addiction.
