Pacific's Visiting Writers Series continues with authors Peter Chilson and Ludwig Laher sharing their works.
PETER CHILSON teaches writing and literature at Washington State University. He is the author of the travelogue Riding the Demon: On the Road in West Africa and Disturbance-Loving Species: A Novella and Stories, winner of the Bread Loaf Writers’ Conference Bakeless Fiction Prize. His work has appeared in numerous publications, as well as twice in the Best American Travel Writing anthology.
Austrian author LUDWIG LAHER is the author of numerous novels, poetry, essays, film scrips and academic texts, including Heart Flesh Degeneration and And Take What Comes, which looks at the plight of contemporary Romani "Gypsy" women in Eastern Europe. His works have been translated from German into English, Spanish, French, Croatian and Japanese. From 2005-2007 he was President of the European Council of Artists and has also served as a board member of the Society of Austrian Authors.
