Our Commitment to Community

At Pacific University, we believe not only in preparing our students to lead in a global community, but also in being active members of our local communities.

Pacific is a close partner with municipalities and nonprofit organizations in our campus communities. In Forest Grove, for example, our athletic fields are part of Lincoln Park, a partnership with the city of Forest Grove that brings public spaces to the community. Our Hillsboro Campus is a founding member of the Hillsboro Health & Education District.

Pacific operates health and eye care clinics throughout the Portland area, providing valuable resources, particularly to underserved populations. We also operate the Early Learning Community in Forest Grove, a preschool and kindergarten open to the public.

Meanwhile, our staff, faculty and students are active residents, workers and volunteers in our communities. You’ll find our students mentoring in local schools, volunteering for environmental cleanup projects, and working with nonprofits.

And, of course, our alumni are leaders not only globally but right here in our backyards, as doctors, teachers, business owners and so much more.
