Our Commitment to Community
At Pacific University, we believe not only in preparing our students to lead in a global community, but also in being active members of our local communities.
Pacific serves the healthcare needs of residents throughout the Portland Metro Area with a variety of clinics. Our students gain experience while providing needed care to underserved populations through Pacific EyeClinics, the Pacific EarClinic, as well as clinics for dental health, physical therapy and psychology.
As an educational institution, we are committed to bringing knowledge and the opportunity for growth to our communities.
Families in the Forest Grove area enjoy the educational resources at the Early Learning Community, which offers preschool and kindergarten education for young children.
Professionals, particularly in healthcare and optometry fields, find opportunities to grow and advance their practice through our continuing education offerings.
The Pacific University Libraries are a resource for writing and knowledge, providing access to more than 100,000 books and 1,000-plus journals and periodicals, as well as electronic databases and digital journals.
At Pacific, we believe in being good neighbors. Pacific is a close partner with municipalities and nonprofit organizations. In Forest Grove, our athletic fields are part of Lincoln Park, a partnership with the city of Forest Grove. Our Hillsboro Campus is a founding member of the Hillsboro Health & Education District.
And, of course, our staff, faculty, students and alumni are active residents, workers and volunteers throughout the region.
