Outdoor Pursuits is Pacific University’s home for outdoor recreation. Student-driven and always evolving, the Outdoor Pursuits offers a variety of trips, rentals, and courses for Pacific students, alumni, staff & faculty, as well as members of the community.

Join us for a fun and creative campus hangout! We’ll have a cookie bake station, plus several hands-on crafts including rock magnets, clay snails, friendship bracelets, and pinecone bouquets. Whether you want to bake something sweet, get creative with crafts, or just relax and spend time with friends, there’s something for everyone. Come by, make something fun, and enjoy a cozy time together!
Take a break and spend some time with a therapy dog at the Outdoor Pursuits building in the Milky Way. Stop by between 3:30 and 5:30 p.m. to meet Bo and his owner Karen, relax, and enjoy a little stress relief with a friendly pup!
If climbing dirty boulders outside in the cold doesn't appeal to you, why not try indoor rock climbing for a change? Join Outdoor Pursuits instructors and Pacific students for a night of indoor adventuring at a local indoor climbing gym! This indoor excursion will certainly be warmer and dryer, plus just as much fun, as a day out on the rocks! Climbers of ALL experience levels are encouraged to participate!
Looking for low-priced, used outdoor equipment? Outdoor Pursuits is hosting a Gear Sale on March 12th, and this gear will be available to purchase! Come by the newly renovated building located right across the street from West Marsh Lawn at 2017 21st Ave. from 4PM—6PM and see what gear we have available!
Escape the stress of the semester and join OP and the SCC for a restorative sound bath. This guided, immersive experience includes gentle instruments that encourage deep relaxation. Lie back, let go of your stress, and soak in the present moment with instructor Julie Miller Ungar.
