The following is a partial list of applications that are available for software development. All computer systems are dual-boot Windows XP Pro and Mandrake Linux.

The Computer Science program at Pacific University is a member of the Microsoft Developers Network and is able to furnish students enrolled in Computer Science courses access to the full suite of developer products for free.
Hardware
Our Computer Science facilities consist of:
16 computers with the following configuration:
- Athlon 64 X2 6000+ 3.0 GHz dual-core processor
- Four GB of DDR2 800 memory
- Dual-monitor (2 Planar 19" LCDs) with each station
- EVGA GeForce 7900GS dual-DVI video card
- 320 GB Western Digital HD w/16MB cache
- Samsung Combo Drives
PURE Laboratory
- State of the art networking hardware for the networking class and independent projects
Servers
- Several Linux servers, a Windows server, a SUN server, and a Bioinformatics server running BLAST are available to students for various class projects.
