The following is a partial list of applications that are available for software development. All computer systems are dual-boot Windows 7 Professional (64-bit) and OpenSUSE Linux 12.1 (64-bit).

The Computer Science program at Pacific University is a member of the Microsoft Developers Network (MSDN); therefore, we are able to furnish students enrolled in Computer Science courses access to the full suite of Microsoft developer products and operating systems for free.
Hardware
Our Computer Science facilities consist of:
15 computers with the following configuration:
• AMD Phenom II X6 3.3 GHz six-core processor
• Eight GB of memory
• Dual-monitor (2 Samsung 24" LCDs) setup with each station
• EVGA GeForce GTX 550 Ti 1024MB GDDR5 dual-DVI video card
• 240 GB OCZ Solid State Hard Drive, SATA III
• Samsung Combo Drives

• State of the art networking hardware for the networking class and independent projects
