Moving Expenses

Pacific University is in the process of updating the Relocation Policy. For questions relating to moving expenses, please contact Tammy at 503-352-2873 or tammys@pacificu.edu.

To submit Relocation reimbursements, please complete an approved Reimbursement Request with the offer letter attached, and send to Payroll. All Relocation reimbursements are processed on the next regular pay date after the request has been approved.

Beginning January 1, 2018, the standard mileage rate for the use of a vehicle for moving purposes has been suspended.  Therefore, the standard mileage rate is not applicable for the use of an automobile as part of a move occurring during the suspension.  For more information regarding standard mileage rates please visit the IRS website.

Note: Relocation reimbursements are taxable income at the Federal and State Supplemental Tax Rate.
