Student Employee Wage Information for 2017-2018 and Beyond

To accommodate Oregon's upcoming minimum wage increases without adversely affecting department operating budgets, Pacific University is replacing its current four-tier student employee pay schedule.

Campus Tour Guides Needed for Children

K-8 Campus Tours are an important component in helping children prepare for college. For a student to be truly prepared for college, parents and children need to begin thinking about higher education goals as early as elementary school. For many children, particularly those whose parents didn’t attend college, there are few opportunities to begin this conversation.

Outdoor Pursuits Announces First International Trip

Offered over Winter Term 2018, students enrolled in OL-255 will travel to Río Usumacinta in the Lancandon Rainforest to explore the rivers, ruins, and wildlife that the classical Mayan world has to offer.

Pacific University MFA in Writing faculty member Tyehimba Jess is the recipient of the 2017 Pulitzer Prize in Poetry for his book Olio.

School of Pharmacy Assistant Professor Dr. Ashim Malhotra has edited and authored a book entitled, “Emerging Applications, Perspectives, and Discoveries in Cardiovascular Research”, published by IGI Global of Hershey, Pennsylvania. 

Vievee Francis Wins Kingsley Tufts Poetry Award

Pacific University MFA in Writing faculty member Vievee Francis is the 2017 recipient of the Kingsley Tufts Poetry Award, the world's largest monetary prize for a single collection of poetry.
