Thoughts on Workshop: People write for a variety of reasons and to various audiences. I believe one successful workshop method is to prioritize the writer's goals for a specific project (assuming the text isn't harmful to others, of course). For that to happen, I feel it's best if the writer's goals and concerns are communicated to the group and for readers to prioritize that information when offering feedback. Remembering that every writer is different makes for a healthy workshop experience.
