Lesley Harbison has been practicing dental hygiene for almost 20 years. In 2016 she returned to school to advance her dental hygiene knowledge and career. She earned her MS at Idaho State University and in 2018 became a faculty member at Pacific University. Lesley’s professional interests include increasing access to care, the geriatric population, ethics and empathy in dental hygiene, and advancing the dental hygiene profession.

Lesley is a proud member of the American Dental Hygienists’ Association. She is currently serving as the Oregon Dental Hygienists’ Association president. In addition, Lesley loves to encourage her students to be active members of ADHA and serves as the SADHA student advisor at Pacific University.

Clinic

Students from four schools at Pacific University collaborated to provide free dental and optometric care, among other services. The event drew kids ages 2 to 17.
