There will be a closing reception for the retrospective of Faculty Emeritus Jim Flory’s photographic images at the Kathrin Cawein Gallery of Art. The closing reception will be on Friday, April 14, from 5 to 6:30 p.m. in pacific Hall. Refreshments will be provided.
The images in the exhibition span a lifetime of his love for photography and his passion for teaching it. Some of the images are his original prints — often used for class examples — and many have been printed and matted in his honor by his colleagues and former students.
Flory left an indelible impression on so many. He lived a life filled with joy, compassion and a deep commitment to those he loved. He died peacefully on Jan. 31, 2023.
