The Pacific University College of Optometry Class of 1973 will gather for a very special 50th reunion in Forest Grove.

On Friday, Oct. 6, the class will be inducted into the Golden Guard, Pacific’s honorary society for alumni who graduated 50 or more years ago. Following lunch and the induction ceremony, each member of the class will be invited to sign their name in wet concrete before ringing the Old College Hall bell in celebration. A tour of Jefferson Hall will follow.

On Saturday, Oct. 7 classmates are invited to a golf outing followed by dinner at McMenamins Grand Lodge. Registration for those events will be handled privately by members of the class.

On Sunday, Oct. 8 at 8:30 a.m., the class is invited to relive student days with continental breakfast in the dining commons. After breakfast, at 9:30 a.m. classmates can gather at the chapel in Old College Hall for a time of prayer.

Friday lunch is $15. Sunday breakfast is $6, payable onsite. Advance registration is required for both events for planning purposes.
