Join us for a short ceremony to commemorate Juneteenth and acknowledge this important holiday. We will have a few remarks from President Jenny Coyle and light refreshments provided by the office of EDIA, followed by the raising of the Juneteenth flag, which will remain up for one week.
The red, white and blue banner with a bursting star in the middle is a symbolic representation of the end of slavery in the United States. Pacific is closed on June 19 in acknowledgement of the holiday.
