First Day of Courses & Field Experience Placements | SLT Fall 2022

The first day of courses and field experience placements for the School of Learning & Teaching fall 2022  term is Monday, Aug. 29. 

A total of 90 field experience hours must be completed between Aug. 29 and Dec. 17 (although some students may have begun accumulating hours in summer 2022). 

If working in a school, students may complete their field experience hours as part of their jobs.

If students are not working in a school and have availability during the Monday-Friday school days, students will complete their field experience hours in their “Main Endorsement Area” placement (the placement where students will be student teaching full-time for 15 weeks in the spring). Students have the flexibility to coordinate their hours around their work schedule directly with their cooperating teacher.
