Maori Poi Dance Workshop | NHOH

Description

Are you interested in learning about the Indigenous people of New Zealand? NHOH welcomes all to join us as we will be sharing important information about the Maori culture, how Maori poi (a ball on a cord) originated, and the poi ball instruments used in the dance.

Following, NHOH members will also teach the basic movements of poi ball dancing and work towards incorporating the motions with Maori music.

Students, faculty and staff are invited to this NHOH presentation. Register and join us on the Cascade Lawn.
