Old College Hall Open House - April 2026

Description

Moved three times, once in 1894, the second time in 1963, and the third time in 2003, this 176 year-old clapboard classical revival educational building is one of the oldest in the western United States. Originally used as the main academic building on Pacific University’s campus, Old College Hall now holds several important events for students and alumni alike.

Old College Hall has been used for many different things as most buildings on historic college campuses are. First a classroom, then a science hall, and finally administrative offices after a loving restoration during the 1970s. It was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1974.

Since then, it has now become an event space, home to the Pacific University Museum, and the site of many a beloved Pacific tradition. Come visit Old College Hall and let one of the dedicated volunteers from the Friends of Historic Forest Grove share more information about the history of the building, the university, and the region as a whole!

No registration is required for this open house.

Pacific University would like to thank the dedicated docents from the Friends of Historic Forest Grove for donating their time, energy, and knowledge to guiding tours at Old College Hall every month.
