Old College Hall Open House - March 2026
Visit one of the oldest educational buildings west of the Mississippi River, Old College Hall. Built in 1850, the hall continues to educate with a Pacific University museum on the second floor, highlighting the history of both the university and the Forest Grove region as a whole.
These old doors only open to curious visitors once a month, so don’t wait until April! Take this opportunity to learn more through a series of curated exhibits and artifacts on a tour guided by volunteers from the Friends of Historic Forest Grove.
If you’re missing the excitement of the Winter Olympics, the Old College Hall museum has an exhibit on one of Oregon’s most notable athletes: A.C. Gilbert. Born in 1884 in Salem, Ore. Gilbert is known today as an Olympic gold medalist pole vaulter, a magician, the holder of over 150 patents, and the namesake for the beloved Gilbert House Children’s Museum located in his home town.
No registration is required for this open house.
Pacific University would like to thank the dedicated docents from the Friends of Historic Forest Grove for donating their time, energy, and knowledge to guiding tours at Old College Hall every month.
