Pacific MFA STRATA Masterclass for Writers of Color with Danusha Laméris
STRATA is a new online Masterclass series designed exclusively for writers of color, conducted by Pacific University MFA faculty Danusha Laméris. The series runs Oct. 14-16 and will focus on the writing of poetry and nonfiction.
Writers are known to carry layers upon layers of storytelling within them, and this is particularly true of writers of color. The Strata Masterclass will aim to provide tools to uncover those layers, focus on narratives that are important to you, help bring together a community of like-minded writers of color, and provide the space and time necessary to undertake more complex and nuanced narratives.
The program will offer craft talks, generative sessions, conversations with the featured writer, and peer-lead workshop sessions.
Writers with a serious interest in developing their craft and technique are encouraged to sign-up. Register by Oct. 1, 2022. Space is limited. $80 for the three-day event to be held virtually over Zoom.
The series is sponsored by Pacific MFA in Writing Program. For more information, please contact Scott Korb, MFA director at smkorb@pacificu.edu.
All events are listed in Pacific time zone unless otherwise noted.
