Senators are elected by a peer vote to represent staff at large and serve a two-year term.

CHAIR
Rana Tahir (2025-27)
Rana believes her breadth of experience through the university--as a graduate student (MFA '15), as an adjunct professor teaching undergraduates on the Forest Grove campus (ENGW 180), and as a staff member for the MFA interfacing with other departments--will be an asset when considering how different decisions might impact the university in a myriad of ways. Additionally, as a naturalized immigrant (first coming to the US on a student visa), person of color, religious minority, queer, trans-supporting cis woman living in the US while attacks on higher education and EDIA efforts increase, she would like to take part in helping Pacific staff navigate these times and all that will come ahead.

Andrew Longhoffer (2026-2028)
Andrew has recently joined the Pacific Opportunity Hub as a Career and Experiential Learning Coach this summer, after doing student development work in the School of Pharmacy since 2017. He served on the Boxer Journey committee as a part of restructuring, and he chaired the university’s Freedom of Expression taskforce (2023-2025). He has an academic interest in the structure and function of institutional shared governance and a strong belief that getting involved and building community are the best responses to uncertainty and change. He is particularly excited to serve as a strong advocate for staff through the challenges and opportunities coming in the next few years. He is also a PhD student in higher education leadership at Colorado State University and serves as the Chapter Advisory Board chair for the Pacific University chapter of Phi Delta Theta.

Keagan Weis (2024-26)
Keagan (they/them) has been a Boxer since 2017. Their favorite parts about working on Staff Senate include making positive impacts on the Pacific community and getting to collaborate with new people. In their down time, they enjoy making art and spending time with their cats and dog.
TREASURER
Megan Evetts (2025-27)
Participating and getting involved has always been her way of feeling connected to a greater purpose. Megan has enjoyed learning about Pacific and becoming part of the wider community over the last year and a half. She believes serving on Staff Senate would further allow her to connect with fellow staff members, our students, faculty, and the overall Pacific community.
PARLIAMENTARIAN
Perry Francis (2025-27)
Since joining Pacific in 2019 as a member of the chemistry department, Perry has enjoyed working with a wide variety of Pacific people: colleagues, administration, faculty, and students. Until 2023, he served as a member of the Health & Safety Advisory Committee and is a current member of the University Finance Committee. Given the recent organizational restructuring discussions, he pondered other ways of helping and thought serving on the Staff Senate would be a great opportunity to support the Pacific community.

Jennifer Bridgewater (2026-28)
Jennifer has worked with Pacific University since 2010. Her work has transitioned over the years from Student Services to Senior Manager of Data, Accreditation, & Licensure for the School of Learning and Teaching (in the former College of Education/College of Graduate Studies). As a Staff Senator, Jennifer’s goal is to advocate for greater communication transparency and to ensure that all staff feel supported as we navigate our new organizational landscape.

Hayden Huzefka (2025-27)
Over the past six years, Hayden’s undergraduate experience and now current role within Athletics has helped cement that this is the place he wants to be. Pacific has offered so many amazing opportunities for him to grow as a person and he wants to be able to give back to this community. He thinks he can best achieve this goal by serving on the Staff Senate.
Ren Johns (2025-27)
Since joining Pacific in 2021, Ren has managed the Early Learning Community, Pacific's preschool through 4th grade program. Every day she gets to build community among teachers, children, staff, faculty, students, and families. With a background in nonprofit management and K-12 education, she is eager to bring her experience in project and partnership management as well as in mediating conflicting perspectives to support the work of the Staff Senate. As Pacific University considers its future, staff input is crucial. Ren wants to ensure staff voices are heard, representing your questions, concerns, and ideas as we all work to help Pacific navigate this next phase to build a stronger, more unified community.
Katy Kilsdonk '15 (2025-27)
2025 marks her ten-year reunion year as an alumna of Pacific University and her ten-year anniversary working at Pacific University, both of which have fundamentally shaped her to become the person she is. After spending the past year as a Boxer Buddy, welcoming new employees to Pacific University, she is moved to join the Staff Senate. She looks forward to this leadership opportunity to support, protect, and promote the future of the alma mater she cares so much about.
Jeremy Palmer (2024-26)
Jeremy is passionate about fostering positive change within our university community and believes that serving on the Staff Senate would provide him with the opportunity to actively contribute to the betterment of our institution. With a commitment to collaboration, communication, and advocating for the needs of both staff and students, he is dedicated to representing our collective interests effectively.
Shana Reece (2025-27)
Shana is passionate about creating collaborative, trusting relationships in the work that she does within the College of Education and with the many departments she has had the privilege of working alongside across the university. She has been serving as a member of the Pacific University Staff Caring Committee for the past five years. As a Staff Senator her goal is to prioritize communication, advocate for staff interests by utilizing her financial experiences and heart for community, and collaborate on initiatives that enhance the overall campus community.
Pamela Wolf (2025-27)
Pamela has worked at Pacific University with the healthcare clinics since 2012. She is currently working with the Healthcare Operations Team as the Director of EHR; Compliance LMS Admin. Pamela is eager to be a voice for staff as we negotiate many changes here at Pacific. Outside of work, Pamela enjoys the Columbia Gorge with her dog, hiking, and learning the ins and outs of homesteading with her family.
