Bias and Hate Incident Education

The mission of the Bias Incident Education Team (BIET) is to contribute to Pacific University’s mission of creating a diverse, inclusive, and sustainable community that cares and pursues justice.

All members of Pacific University have a responsibility to contribute to and maintain a welcoming and inclusive environment. The BIET believes that every member of Pacific University should experience an environment that is free of crime, discrimination, sexual harassment, and any other violation. The BIET strives to foster learning and growth in an environment that supports the university’s efforts in creating a safe and open environment for everyone.

The Bias Incident Education Team has two primary goals:

  • Support those who have witnessed or have been the target of bias-related incidents
  • Refer to resources that can provide ongoing support
