Dr. Carrie Larson serves as an assistant faculty member and coordinator of the BEd program on the Woodburn campus. Dr. Larson received her PhD in Educational Leadership with a specialization in curriculum and instruction from Portland State University. Before moving to higher education, Dr. Larson taught elementary and middle school and served as an English Language Development Specialist. She is fluent in Spanish. Her research explores the experiences of bilingual elementary teachers, the ways in which they teach and learn with their bilingual students in U.S. K-12 public schools, and their experiences as former English language learners.
