Dr. Griselda Verduzco is a licensed psychologist and Associate Professor at Pacific University’s School of Graduate Psychology, where she also serves as Director of the Latine Mental Health Program. Her work focuses on culturally responsive mental health care, bilingual clinical training, and expanding access to psychological services for Latine communities.

Dr. Verduzco earned her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Alliant International University’s California School of Professional Psychology. She is bilingual in English and Spanish and specializes in evidence-based treatments including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT). Her clinical and teaching work integrates culturally grounded frameworks to address anxiety, trauma, identity development, and systemic stressors affecting marginalized communities.

As director of the Latine Mental Health Program, Dr. Verduzco develops training opportunities for doctoral students to work effectively with Spanish-speaking populations while fostering community partnerships and culturally responsive care. Her research interests include cultural identity, racial stereotypes, and sociocultural influences on mental health within Latine communities.

Dr. Verduzco’s professional identity is grounded in the belief that psychology must extend beyond symptom reduction to include community accountability, systemic awareness, and culturally grounded care. Through her clinical work, teaching, leadership, and scholarship, she aims to advance a model of psychology that is both scientifically rigorous and socially responsive.
