What hobbies, sports, or interests light you up?

I love writing (or more-so, thinking what I COULD write about) storylines for my own characters I've created. Am I a good writer? That's debatable. Do I have fun doing it? Yes! I also love playing video games, especially with friends, and just yapping away about whatever comes to mind, also with friends.

What is your specialty as a tutor? What topic, problem, subject, or process do you most enjoy helping students to learn?

I enjoy helping students with writing, particularly in creative fiction.

Which of the CLASS 5 Keys – Respect, Inclusion, Growth, Support, and Pizzazz - resonates with you the most and how do you put it into practice in your work as a tutor?

I feel that growth, as a tutor, resonates with me the most because even as a tutor, you're learning constantly. Whether it's learning how other people learn or understand something, or for writing specifically, learning how their writing styles come out in their work or about the person behind the piece, you're always finding out something new about others and yourself.

What is your best advice for students on how to get the most out of their academic experience in college?

It's easier said than done, but joining a club in your major or interests, and making friends in (and out of) your major really help, both academically and mentally. College is easier if someone has your back!
