Kate McCallum is a Faculty Development Specialist with the Center for Educational Technology and Curricular Innovation at Pacific University, focusing on supporting faculty across the university with using technology to support their pedagogical approaches in the classroom.
Kate completed an interdisciplinary PhD at the University of Brighton in the UK, bringing together art practice and linguistics in a study of communication in mathematics. She is actively teaching alongside her role with CETCI, and enjoys thinking about the ways we can combine longstanding knowledge about pedagogy with cool innovations, to suit different teaching and learning styles. She lives in Forest Grove with her partner, two very small humans, and dog.
