Arbor Center for Teaching alumna, Lauren Kristensen joins the ACT faculty with broad experience in elementary teaching, having worked for almost 10 years as a teacher in Portland Public Schools and West Linn/Wilsonville School Districts. She graduated with her BA from Claremont McKenna College and earned her MAT from Marylhurst University.
With deep insight into pedagogy around social emotional learning, literacy, and responsive classroom management, Lauren brings her understanding of the challenges of multi-lingual and multi-cultural teaching contexts to her work as an Instructional Coach and Mentor for ACT Teacher Residents. Lauren is also a member of the Oregon Alliance of Black School Educators.
