Paul has served as the President and CEO of NAFI|NFI since January 1st of 2024. Prior to this he served as the founding Executive Director of NFI North, one of NAFI|NFI’s four subsidiaries. In his more than 45 years with the organization Dr Dann has served in multiple roles beginning as a counselor within the organization’s first foster care program.

In 2024 Dr Dann was elected to serve on the Board of the Child Welfare League of American and became the Vice Chair of the Board in October of 2025.

He is a nationally recognized presenter in leadership, organizational resilience, change management, organizational culture, and leadership development. He teaches as a core faculty at the University of New Hampshire Carsey School for Public Policy, teaches at Pacific University in their Masters in Nonprofit Leadership and is the 2022 recipient of the NHBR Business Owner of the Year Award in the large nonprofit category.

Dr Dann is also a published author with Wiley as well as Pearson Publishing. His most recent book is titled Managing and Leading Nonprofit Organizations: A Framework for Success and his book with Pearson Publishing titled An Introduction to Human Services: Practice and Policy is widely used by undergraduate colleges and universities across the country.

Paul has worked on the frontlines and in leadership roles within the human services and mental health for more than 50 years helping to make a difference in the lives of children and families across multiple jurisdictions.
