Will Reno grew up in Brooklyn, NY where he started his musical journey by taking piano lessons at the age of 7. By 16 he was playing timpani in the Hoff Barthelson Youth Orchestra in Scarsdale, NY. Then Will spent the next 6 years getting a Bachelor's degree and pursuing a Masters degree in music at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music. While enrolled at IU JSoM, Will won the audition for Portland Opera's Principal Timpani spot and moved to Portland in the summer of 2010 to begin his tenure with the Portland Opera. Since then, he has performed with the Oregon Symphony, Eugene Symphony, Portland Chamber Orchestra, Bach Cantata Choir, Portland Columbia Symphony Orchestra, and many other local groups and orchestras. Will has also toured with the American Wind Symphony Orchestra and performed with artists such as Andrea Boccelli and The Who.

Will lives in SE Portland where you can find him watching his New York Yankees or Indiana Hoosiers. In his free time, he loves to play golf, and find the best food Portland has to offer. Will has been teaching at Pacific University since 2021.
