Dining Service and Catering

Pacific University is proud to offer Bon Appetit Management Company as the university's independent dining service and catering contractor. Bon Appetit staff will work directly with your group to craft a menu to best suit your needs.

Dining Service

Our dining facility features daily menus, including a meatless entree available at every meal. Special dietary requests (for example, gluten-free or diabetic requirements) can be addressed with advance notice. Our creative culinary staff is available to customize any menu to meet your needs.


Bon Appetit Catering blends a tradition of fine service with creative planning and consistent event execution. Catering specializes in creating unique menus featuring regional, seasonal, artisan-produced products. Our artful creativity and passion for fine, locally-grown food is a perfect complement to the Pacific University expectation of excellence.  

The Grove Market

The Grove Market is located in the University Center and features grab and go snacks.


Pacific also has a full-service Starbucks. It is located in the University Center between the Grove Market and University Bookstore.


Pacific University complies with the regulations of the Oregon Liquor Control Commission (OLCC). Those under 21 years of age may not consume alcohol under any circumstances. Bon Appetit holds the permit to serve beer and wine on the Pacific University campus.

OLCC regulations require substantial food to be available at all times when alcohol is served.  Bon Appetit must serve food when providing alcohol at events. Conference and Event Support Services works with conference organizers and Bon Appetit to determine the amount of food, alcohol, and other beverages required to comply with OLCC regulations. Opened alcohol containers cannot be removed from the event location.

Event organizers must complete an Alcohol Service Request Form and submit to Conference and Event Support Services at least one month prior to the event.

Non-University Catering

Occasionally, events involve special food requirements that cannot be prepared by Bon Appetit. In the event that you have met with Bon Appetit, and they were unable to accommodate your needs, the University asks that you complete this Food Safety and Compliance Strategy form. Completing this form will help the University ensure that proper measures are taken to foster proper food safety. Please note that this form must be completed at least two weeks prior to your event.

Note: If food is being prepared by someone other than a licensed catering professional, at least one group organizer supervising the event is required to have a current Food Handler's Card. This card can be obtained online.
