Dr. Kara Shuft ’08 featured in PT Article about Sleep Health

Dr. Kara (Lang) Shuft '08 was recently featured in PTinMotion in the article “Promoting Sleep: Not a Leap.”  PTinMotion is the professional magazine of the American Physical Therapy Association. In this article about sleep health, Dr. Shuft discusses the importance of healthy sleep habits including specific strategies, the effects of improved sleep on patient outcomes, and the need for physical therapists to discuss this topic with their patients.

Dr. Shuft is the co-owner of Whole Body Health Physical Therapy in Portland, Oregon. She is also a guest speaker for DPT670: Psychosocial Aspects of Illness and Disability, and presents on health literacy and chronic pain.
