Katie Krauss Featured on One Class At A Time

Katie Krauss, current MAT student, was recently featured on News Channel 21's One Class At A Time. Krauss, an art teacher at Steins Pillar Elementary in Prineville, shared how she is teaching in-person classes during COVID.

In the video, Krauss discusses the importance of connecting with students in this challenging time. "I get to see every student, every day, for 30 minutes, and that just helps me have an emotional check in with them when we are working on the art work." Krauss and her students have received $500 to help fund art materials for Krauss's classroom. One Classroom At A Time is a partnership between News Channel 21 and Mid Oregon Credit Union. Every month, they celebrate a deserving teacher or classroom with this monetary award.
