Pacific University's Spring Commencement Exercises Set for Saturday, May 17

Pacific University will hold its spring commencement exercises on Saturday, May 17 at Lincoln Park Stadium on the Forest Grove Campus.

The ceremony for undergraduate degree candidates begins at 9:30 a.m., and the celebration for professional program candidates starts at 1:30 p.m.

Approximately 350 undergraduate students and 330 professional programs students are expected to participate in the ceremonies.

FEI Company president and chief executive Don Kania, also a Pacific University trustee, will give the keynote address during the morning ceremony. Matthew Morse, a mathematics major from Grants Pass, will give the student address as the Class of 2014 valedictorian.

The professional programs ceremony will feature degree candidates from the colleges of Education, Health Professions and Optometry. The inaugural class in the College of Education's master of speech-language pathology program, comprised of approximately 35 students, will march to receive their diplomas.

College of Health Professions degree candidates will be from college's schools of Occupational TherapyPharmacy and Physical Therapy.
