Over the past year, several national and campus-based studies have asked college students how they use generative AI in their academic work and how they have incorporated it into their studies. During this session, we will synthesize key findings from these studies and discuss what some Pacific students have shared about their own experiences with AI during their course of study.

Orientation is required for all new and transfer undergraduate students. From welcomes by university leaders and academic overviews to small-group sessions with Orientation Leaders and social activities, this program is your launchpad into the Pacific community.
Official housing move-in. Required for new undergraduate students, optional for returning and professional students.
Convocation is the formal opening of the academic year. A ceremony rich in tradition, the annual Undergraduate Convocation features a processional by faculty in academic regalia, an introduction from the university president, and remarks from students and faculty.
On Saturday, August 29th Pacific University School of Pharmacy will proudly welcome our Class of 2029 and Class of 2031 to the pharmacy profession during our White Coat ceremony!
Visit Henry Hagg Lake for a day of kayaking, paddleboarding, and outdoor games with new Pacific University students. No experience necessary, all gear, equipment, and transportation to/from campus provided.
This beginner-friendly, accessible program offers something for everyone! Try kayaking or paddleboarding, swimming (no lifeguard on duty), playing yard games, or simply taking in the beautiful lakeside views while connecting with fellow Boxers.
Transportation, equipment, and instruction are provided. Shuttles depart Walter/Mac Parking Lot G at 11:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m., with groups returning to campus at 3:30 p.m. Please note that the 12-passenger vans are not equipped with wheelchair lifts/ramps.
This trip is hosted in partnership with Adventures Without Limits (AWL), a Forest Grove nonprofit dedicated to making outdoor recreation accessible for people of all abilities through adaptive equipment, expert guides, and inclusive programming. Registration is required, scan the QR code to sign up! Wear comfortable clothing, secure footwear, and be prepared to get a little wet. Restrooms are available on-site.
