Pacific University and Willamette University are merging two rich histories to build Oregon’s largest private university. 

On Sept. 26, 1849, Pacific University was granted its founding charter. Exactly 177 years later, we are marking Charter Day by stepping boldly into our next chapter as Pacific and Willamette University unite to create the largest private university in Oregon.
