Candidate Conversation: A Town Hall for House District 29
On Monday, October 19th, the Pacific Student Political Society will host an on-campus "Candidate Conversation: A Town Hall for House District 29".
You are invited to join them for a town-hall style conversation between candidates Susan McLain and Brian Schimmel. Dr. Don Schweitzer, who directs Pacific's Bachelor of Social Work program, will moderate.
When you arrive, you will find questions for the candidates posted around the room. From 6 to 6:15 p.m., everyone who comes in gets to put a sticker on three of them, and the four questions with the most stickers when the conversation begins will be asked first. Sticker-voted questions will be asked from 6:30 to 7:15 p.m., and then open questions from the crowd will run until 7:50 p.m. Each candidate will get five minutes to close.
This promises to be an interesting event & will help inform your voting in the November 3 election (ballots start getting sent out on October 14!). An RSVP is not required to attend!
All events are listed in Pacific time zone unless otherwise noted.
