Fall Symphonic Band Concert - City Trees: Urban and Natural Landscapes

Under the direction of  Dr. Abbie Brown, the Pacific University Symphonic Band will share their fall concert program “City Trees: Urban and Natural Landscapes.” This concert program allows the ensemble and audience members to be in conversation about the way the natural and urban landscapes interact with one another, and features music that speaks to these two themes. The Symphonic Band will be in collaboration with the Pacific University Art Department as students in Drawing and Painting classes depict one piece in particular, Planet B by Catherine Likhuta. Other pieces on this program include Flaxen Tresses by James M. David, Shenandoah by Omar Thomas, and Under Pines and Stars by local Washington composer Megan Vinther.
