The Student Counseling Center invites first-generation college students to come together and engage with peers who may have shared experiences. In this space individuals will be able to share, reflect and explore their experiences attending a 4-year institution, and receive support around unique challenges first-generation college students may encounter.

Working toward a college degree and becoming a member of a college community is often very exciting. It can also bring about new challenges in terms of one’s emotional and mental wellbeing and in navigating new environments and relationships. Come join this group any Monday afternoon!

This support group is free and no registration is required. There is no paperwork to complete, no formal intake and no appointment needed.

Please note that the First-Gen Support Group is not a substitute for counseling and does not constitute mental health treatment. It is not intended for crises or mental health emergencies.
