Hagg Lake Shoreline Clean-Up (Earth Week 2026)

Description

This Earth Week let’s give one of our region’s most beloved outdoor spaces a little extra care! Join the MCCE as we attend the Hagg Lake Spring Shoreline Cleanup hosted by SOLVE Oregon. We’ll pick up litter along the shoreline to help keep wildlife safe and provide a clean and comfortable space for those who hike, fish, paddle, and play at the beautiful lake just 14 minutes from our Forest Grove campus.

The cleanup will take place from 11am-1pm on Sunday, April 19th. All supplies will be provided, including a free parking pass and/or transportation to and from the lake.

Sign-up to attend

  • Sign-up here to save a spot at the clean-up and receive updates from the SOLVE organizers.

  • Sign-up here if you need transportation to and from the lake. 11 seats are available in a passenger van. If you prefer to drive yourself, we will just meet there!

After the clean-up everyone is welcome to enjoy a day at the lake, with it’s 14 miles of trails and public art installations. However, the passenger van will depart promptly at 1pm to ensure anyone who has a tight schedule is still able to participate.

What do I need to bring?

Please wear close-toes shoes and weather appropriate outerwear (Pacific branded gear would be awesome!), and bring a water bottle and any lunch/snacks you want to have available during the clean-up. The SOLVE organizers will provide trash grabbers, bags, sharps containers with tongs, and gloves.

Where is Hagg Lake?

Henry Hagg Lake is located a quick 14 minute drive from the Forest Grove campus. Exact driving/parking directions will be sent to you by the organizers when you sign up.

The lake is located with Scoggins Valley Park. The 2,500-acre park features two boat launching facilities, over 14 miles of multi-use trails, an 18-hole disc golf course, and numerous picnic areas. The park is open seven days a week, from sunrise to sunset. There is no charge to visit, however a day pass is required to park a vehicle.
