Indigenous People's Day Celebration

Description

Join in a celebration of Pacific Northwest (PNW) First Foods (before colonization) and their importance for food sovereignty presented by Stephanie Craig, enrolled member of the Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde.

The presentation will focus on the theme of "Getting Back to Nature with Cultural Foods," emphasizing the historical and contemporary significance of First Foods used by the Kalapuya people.

The presentation also includes a guided, educational tasting of 5 traditional foods to demonstrate authentic flavor profiles and processing methods. Because of the nature of sourcing first foods, there is a limited quantity; be sure to register for the tasting.

For questions, comments, or concerns, email Nikol Roubidoux.
