Old College Hall Open House - Dec. 2026

Description

Celebrate the end of Old College Hall’s 176th year on our Forest Grove Campus by visiting the museum on the second floor and learning more about the college and Forest Grove region as a whole. Explore exhibits on The Mother of Oregon, Tabitha Brown, Pacific’s first President, Sidney Harper Marsh, and the inventor Olympian, A.C. Gilbert, to learn more about Pacific University’s beginnings.

This white clapboard building served as the first site of learning on Pacific University’s campus in 1850. It continues to carry on this legacy of learning by housing the Old College Hall Museum on the second floor and hosting an open house each month featuring tours led by volunteers from the Friends of Historic Forest Grove.

Come see the artifacts kept inside, the signatures of hundreds of Pacific University alumni signed in the sidewalks surrounding the outside, and experience the history of one of the oldest educational buildings in the western United States.

No registration is required for this open house.

Pacific University would like to thank the dedicated docents from the Friends of Historic Forest Grove for donating their time, energy, and knowledge to guiding tours at Old College Hall every month.
