Old College Hall Open House - May 2026
Come visit Old College Hall before campus grows quiet again for the summer! One of the oldest educational buildings west of the Mississippi River, Old College Hall has definitely earned its current resting place and purpose as the home of the Pacific University Museum.
Old College Hall was built in 1850 and moved in 1894, 1963 and 2004, restored in the 1970s, and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1974. During these 176 years, the white clapboard classical revival building served as a classroom, science hall, and administrative offices.
It is now the site of important traditions for students and alumni alike. The bell tower itself serves as the centerpiece for the Sign, Shake & Ring and Remembrance Ceremonies. Come visit Old College Hall during this monthly open house and let one of the dedicated volunteers from the Friends of Historic Forest Grove share information about the history of the building and the town around it.
No registration is required for this open house.
Pacific University would like to thank the dedicated docents from the Friends of Historic Forest Grove for donating their time, energy, and knowledge to guiding tours at Old College Hall every month.
