Scheduling for Scholars: The Art of Working Smarter, Not Longer

Description

All faculty are invited to a workshop led by Dr. Kees Smeets.

When: Monday, November 9, 1:00 to 2:30 PM
Where: Berglund Hall 200 or Zoom
Lunch: Provided for in-person attendees

Many of us know the feeling of working constantly and still feeling behind on research and course prep, or of time off that never quite feels like time off. This workshop is designed specifically for academics who want to break that cycle. Dr. Smeets completed his PhD at Bayes Business School in London while teaching full time in Amsterdam, so he knows the challenge firsthand.

Participants will develop personalized strategies to:

  • Identify their most productive work patterns and use them effectively
  • Establish clear boundaries between work and personal time
  • Apply evidence-based productivity techniques tailored to academic work
  • Design realistic schedules that account for both work and recovery

You’ll leave with a concrete plan for making the most of both your working hours and your time away from work.

Please register by Thursday, November 5, using the button below. Zoom links will be sent after registration.
