Advising Handbook for Communications Minor

Requirements for the Communications minor:

  • MEDA 110, Intro to Communication 4 credits
  • MEDA electives (any MEDA courses listed below), 8 credits
  • Category 1 Electives Perceiving Self and Culture courses, 4 credits
  • Category 2 Electives Oration and Performance courses, 4 credits
  • Category 3 Electives Mediated Communication courses, 4 credits

A minimum of 8 credits must be upper division, four of which must be from courses in the Media Arts. Student majoring in the Media Arts may pursue the communications minor; however, courses already counting towards the major may not be counted towards the minor.
