During Family Weekend each fall, Pacific encourages undergraduate students to invite their families to visit, take part in campus activities, and get a behind-the-scenes look at college life.
The community is invited to enjoy cultural entertainment at Pacific. The Music Department presents a number of formal concerts, the Theatre and Dance Department stages performances, and the Kathrin Cawein Gallery of Art features studio art in rotating exhibits each month.
The Performing Arts Series, meanwhile, is a Pacific University signature event featuring headliners from around the globe. Recent performers have included the Vienna Boys Choir and Ed Asner as Franklin Delano Roosevelt.
The second Saturday in April, the Nā Haumāna O Hawai‘i, or Students of Hawai‘i, presents the annual Lūʻau, featuring a presentation of traditional Polynesian dance, music and entertainment, as well as an authentic Lūʻau meal.
Pacific celebrates Commencement four times a year, bestowing degrees on graduating students. Commencement exercises are held in May, June, August and December.
