Look for Supplementary Voter Guide in Washington County

The May midterm election is right around the corner and voter guides have started to arrive in the mail. However, Washington County Voters should watch out for a second voter guide arriving in the mail soon. The Oregon Secretary of State's Office has announced that four incumbent candidates were left out of the original guide due to a design mistake. Approximately 80,000 Washington County voters are impacted.

The Oregon Elections Division will reissue and mail a separate supplemental voters’ pamphlet by April 28 to reach affected Washington County voters. The Washington County Elections Office will also have the printed supplemental voters’ pamphlet available on site. Both the online version, and Spanish version of the pamphlets remain unaffected.

Registered Washington County voters will begin receiving their ballots Wednesday, April 27 and ballots must be returned via drop box or mail no later than Tuesday, May 17.

If you are not registered to vote or would like to check that your voter registration is up-to-date in Oregon, or in any other state you consider home, Pacific Votes recommends BallotReady as a simple, non-partisan resource. The voter registration deadline has passed for Oregon. Other states may have different deadlines.

If you have questions about these or any other elements of voting, please contact the McCall Center for Civic Engagement.
